ANSWER: The sunnah is to repeat after a live athaan and say the dua after hearing it. If you can’t hear it, you shouldn’t say the duaa. If you are a male, you can call the athan yourself and say the duaa.

QUESTION: If i follow hanafi imam on normal days, can i pray duhr until the hanafi timing If i am not attending the congregation? If i am at work I’ll pray later but can i delay it until the hanafi time since i follow that imam on normal days?

ANSWER: It’s not permissible to delay it until the hanafi Asr time.

QUESTION: Sheikh, if i am going somewhere like mall etc, and the time for the specific prayer is not yet established, knowing it will get late enough that i will miss my prayer when i will come back,so what should i do? Should i pray that prayer before the time or should i come back and pray even though prayer time has gone by? What niyya should i make with this kind of prayer

ANSWER: Both your options are totally prohibited. Pray on time is the only option you have!
