QUESTION: I lost my 23 years old son almost 3 years ago, his dad shoot him. Hasbi Allah w na3mil wakeel. I got all his belongings from the officers 9 months later, they’re still as is from the scene in the box they gave me. I’m being told it’s haram to keep them as is (full of his blood) and that I should wash them? I haven’t touched his bedroom everything is still the exact same. Please advise me.JAK

ANSWER: Both are beneficial. However, this money now belongs to all his heirs and if all agree to use this for charity on his behalf then no problem, otherwise it must be distributed among his heirs according to sharia law and they can individually give charity on his behalf if they want.

QUESTION: Is it a MUST to have Surah Mulk memorized to be saved from the torment of the grave or can I read off the mushaf or my phone and it will suffice

Allah blessed me with 4 children, 3 sons and 1 daughter but they all died at different ages. 10 months, 15 months, 1.5 year and my daughter died 6 months ago at age of 2.5 years. it has broken us but we are still asking for Sabr from Allah. ANSWER: This is weak and not authentic and goes against all evidences from Quran and authentic Sunnah.

I know it’s haram to cook food for 3 days in a home if a member has passed away.My mom’s sibling passed away.He lived along with my granny & my other uncle.So,is it haram for me to eat food cooked in my home although I live in a seperate home & not with my granny for 3 days?And can I go to my granny’s place & eat the food that is sent there by the relatives?

ANSWER: We are allowed to mourn for up to 3 days but there is no prohibition on cooking. Sending them food so that they don’t cook in these 3 days is from the sunnah.

Is it true that if alot of people attend the funeral prayer the dead will be forgive is it for anyone who attends the prayer or only practing muslims attend the prayer

ANSWER: They stop once you die unless it’s a continuous sin, then it will regenerate and multiply.
